Have you always wanted to learn to knit but not sure where to begin, or do you simply wish to develop your knitting skills?
In this 2.5 hour project-based class you will learn the basics of beginner knitting.
- Cast on (and off)
- Be introduced to the 2 most important stitches, knit and purl.
- Combine stitches for adding textural effects ~ including garter stitch, stocking stitch and ribbing
- Begin simple pattern reading.
By the end of the class you will have learnt the basic techniques and with your Beginners Kit you will have everything you need to take away to complete your first knitting project~ a cute lavender bag, which both looks and smells beautiful.
Beginners Kit: 1 ball of Aran yarn (choice of colours), pair of wooden needles, buttons & ribbon, pattern and lavender bag (filled with lavender from Long Barn in Alresford ).
Cost for 2.5 hour class: £50 Includes all materials (Beginners Kit) tea, coffee & delicious homemade cake.
