Online Beginners Course ~ Button Cowl

Always wanted to learn to knit but not sure where to start?

In this  2 part online course I will teach you everything you need to know to begin your first knitting project~ a gorgeous, chunky Button Cowl.

We will meet for 2 x 1 hour Zoom sessions

• Session 1: You will learn the basics of knitting, including knit and purl stitch, how to cast on (and off). You will also be introduced to simple pattern reading.
• Session 2: Continue putting the techniques that you learnt in Week 1 into practice. With the  Button Cowl  pattern you will learn how to combine stitches for adding textural impact, how to knit a simple buttonhole and how to complete your knitted work.

I have put together a a complete Beginners Kit which has everything you need to get started….. I have also included one of my favourite cake recipes for you to make and enjoy while you are knitting your 1st woolly project!

With the PDF pattern you are given a series of step by step tutorial videos showing you the different beginner techniques for making your Button Cowl.

After purchase, you will receive an email with a direct download link to enable you to access your pattern,  which you can watch in your own time and work through at your own pace.

I have chosen a beautiful chunky yarn for this project by DROPS in a range of soft Autumnal shades. All the Merino wools produced by this company come from free-range sheep. They have chosen to keep many of their wools and alpaca fibres simply washed without using chemicals before being dyed, which helps to retain their beautiful natural texture aswell as reducing environmental impact.

Button Cowl Kit: 1 x 100 gm ball of Super Chunky DROPS Andes yarn (a beautiful soft blend of 65% wool, 35% Alpaca), pair of wooden needles,  two mother of pearl buttons, darning needle, pattern and cake recipe.

Once you have booked a place, I will send you a Button Cowl Kit and a PDF pattern with links to mini videos along with a Zoom invitation (maximum 5 people).
