SUMMER at THE COLOUR FACTORY

Begin your knitting journey with this fun workshop. You will learn everything you need to know to get started, as well as providing you with all the materials you’ll need to make your first knitting project.

• Learn how to cast on (& cast off) and be introduced to the two most important stitches, knit and purl and how to combine them for different stitch patterns.
• How to add a contrasting colour.
• Add simple shaping to your knitting.
• Begin simple pattern reading.

All materials will be provided in the workshop,

• 2 x balls of cotton yarn (choice of colours).
• 2 x flower pots to cover.
• set of wooden knitting needles.
• tapestry needle to darn in ends.
• worksheet & pattern.

Cost for 2.5 hour class: £48 (includes all materials, tea, coffee & delicious homemade cake.)

This workshop will be given in The Colour Factory, a creative hub in the centre of Winchester, home to seven resident artists.
