Zoom Project 2

In this workshop you will be given step-by-step instructions with a PDF pattern for you to download with clear photos and links to 8 mini videos, which you can watch in your own time.

There will also be an invitation to a Zoom session (around 40 mins) where we will talk over specific areas about the project and you can ask me any questions.

I will be keeping these Zoom sessions small, with a maximum of 5 people.

Summer Bunting ~ Flowers & Stars

This lovely summer project is for those of you who have already picked up the basics of crochet and is a great way for learning how to combine new stitches and practice new crochet techniques.

These delicate Flowers & Stars look quite complicated but are in in fact fairly simple and quick to make, with a maximum of 5 rounds involved. Once you start, they become addictive to make!

In total, in this single project, I have put together 5 crochet designs for you to try for making this pretty string of bunting. The large star and flower are based on two lovely patterns by the crochet designer Ros Badger.

Each design varies in complexity, but when followed alongside the 8 step- by- step mini videos and pattern you will be able to make the simplest little flower before tackling the more challenging star design.

Aswell as learning new stitches I will introduce you to the Magic Ring Technique for beginning your motifs and different ways of joining your next coloured yarn.

For my string of bunting I have kept to a simple palette using two neutral shades, Shea and Mill White that really help to accentuate the stitches.

I have used Sirdar Cotton DK. This is a mercerised yarn with a slight sheen, which makes it a wonderfully smooth yarn to work with creating the neatest and clearest of stitches. It comes in 100gm balls, so you will have enough yarn to make a large selection of pretty flowers & stars. There is also a range of lovely shades for you to choose from.

Below I have added a link to Wool Warehouse online shop where you will be able to buy the yarn.

Materials you will need

  • 2 x 100 gm of Sirdar Cotton DK. in contrasting colours
  • 3.5mm crochet hook
  • 3.00mm crochet hook for chain (not essential)

Cost for Online Workshop: £20 (includes pattern & Zoom session)

Once I have received your booking I will send you a PDF pattern with links to the YouTube mini videos along with a Zoom invitation.

As I am keeping the Zoom sessions small (max 5 people),  if the date/time on offer is showing as fully booked, please do let me know and I will add you to the waiting list for the next time.

I will be adding further Zoom sessions to the calender once this date has past.
