Following on from the success of the summer Jumper-knit-along class I have now set a new class for Autumn, Aran-knit-along.

I have found a great Sirdar pattern which uses a lovely combination of cabling work as well as working on all the different techniques (shaping, picking up stitches, button holes etc) needed for making this gorgeous chunky cardigan. I will be working step by step through the whole process from knitting a tension square through to the blocking and sewing the individual pieces together. There is quite a lot of knitting involved but I have spaced the classes so there is time for homework in between to prepare for the next class.

The wool on the original pattern is now discontinued, so I have chosen a lovely chunky yarn by James C.Brett, Chunky with Merino. It is incredibly soft and knits up beautifully aswell as being great value for money! A win, win situation.

With a complicated project like this, the class total will be 5 so that I can give everyone as much one to one help as possible.
