I love looking through all my knitting books for new ideas to make. Knitting at Home is a lovely book from the American designer Leanne Prouse which has lots of great ideas which are beautifully styled and photographed.

I decided to have a go at making her Pinwheel Cushion. It was a fairly straight forward pattern and a quick project to knit.

 

Using random yarn that I already had, I created my own colour combinations and stripes. The pattern suggested drawing in the centre of the cushion with a large chunky button, but I decided to make a simple crochet circular stamp. The overall effect of this cushion is great and has a lovely vintage feel.
