I have always loved the exquisite work by the Parisienne crochet designer Sophie Digard. She always works with such a beautiful palette of soft colours in a range of muted fine yarns to produce the most delicate shawls and scarves.
You can see Sophie Digard at Loop www.loopknittingshop.
I think these flowers and colours are so beautiful~each leaf and petal crocheted individually.
I made this pretty little necklace many years ago using fine embroidery silk yarn and a size 2mm hook.
Lucky enough to have one of her scarves I wanted to design a project inspired by a delicate block square pattern.
Working so often with chunky cotton and wool yarns, for the Digard Frame workshop I have chosen to use a beautiful lace yarn, Drops Lace which is a combination of 70% Alpaca and 30% Silk.
I feel these simple glass frames display the delicate yarn and stitches well, allowing the light to come through.
In the Spring inspired by Digard and a lovely pattern by Mrs Moon I will be running a workshop to make a pretty Pinwheel Scarf, using simple stitches in a series of combinations to create this delicate, pretty scarf made in ultra soft 4 ply wool and alpaca yarn.
Thanks extremely beneficial. Will share site with my good friends.
