New to colourwork? Isla introduces knitters to stranded knitting using just two colours. Across two workshops, you’ll learn essential colourwork techniques, how to knit in the round, and how to shape the crown—while creating a beautifully cosy hat.
These core skills form the foundation of Fair Isle techniques and give you the confidence to explore colourwork further.
Part of the Slow Sunday Makes series, designed to help you slow down, enjoy the process, and create something beautiful.

When knitting a hat, traditional Fair Isle is usually worked in the round on circular needles or on a set of double-pointed needles. This way the right-side of the knitting is always facing you, making it easier to see the pattern as you knit.
With the Isla pattern you will be knitting with both ~ working the main body of the hat using circular needles and shaping the crown of the hat on a set of double-pointed needles

Alongside the pattern, I have added a series of Video Tutorials which will help you with the different techniques needed for the project.
