For this summer crochet project I am using my popular Bobbles Cushion pattern. I have added videos for you to watch alongside the pattern which you can buy. (see below)
What you will need
- 3 x 100 gms ball of super chunky yarn
- Size 8.00mm crochet hook (smaller hook than yarn specifies to make firm fabric)
- Cushion Pad (40 cms x 30 cms)
- Darning or tapestry needle (for darning in loose ends)
This chunky cushion cover uses a combination of stitches to make Bobbles and Stripes. The front and back of the cover are made in one continuous piece in super chunky yarn. The front explores different textural stitch details and the back is worked simply in half treble crochet (htr) throughout.
Many crochet motifs are created by working in the round (e.g Granny squares) but for this pattern you will be working backwards and forwards in horizontal rows with the addition of turning chains.
In this little video I show you how to recognise the right-side of your crochet piece, work using a turning chain and make Bobbles.
Watch to show you how;
Finished cushion 40 cms x 30 cms
The pattern combines Bobbles with panels of stripes for textural impact
If you would like to make this cushion you can buy the pattern by clicking on the button below. Once I have received your paypal payment I will email you a copy of the PDF pattern to download and keep.
