What you will need
- 3 x 100 gms ball of super chunky yarn
- Size 8.00mm crochet hook (smaller hook than yarn specifies to make firm fabric)
- Cushion Pad (40 cms x 30 cms)
- Darning or tapestry needle (for darning in loose ends)
This chunky cushion cover uses a combination of stitches to make Bobbles and Stripes. The front and back of the cover are made in one continuous piece in super chunky yarn. The front explores different textural stitch details and the back is worked simply in half treble crochet (htr) throughout.
Many crochet motifs are created by working in the round (e.g Granny squares) but for this pattern you will be working backwards and forwards in horizontal rows with the addition of turning chains.
For this project, I have added some helpful videos for you to watch alongside the pattern.
In this little video I show you how to recognise the right-side of your crochet piece, work using a turning chain and make Bobbles.
