Simple Mitts

Having practiced your beginner crochet techniques, you will now be ready to enjoy making your 1st crochet project.

These cosy mitts are a perfect pattern for a beginner. Based on an original design by Ros Badger, they are made using rows of double crochet stitch worked back and forth. They are then finished off with a simple edging around the top and cuff.

Alongside the pattern I have added a series of video tutorials taking you step-by step through each stage.

For these mitts, I have chosen a cosy Aran-weight yarn (65% wool/35% Alpaca) by DROPS in soft blue/grey or a pop of pink!

All the Merino wools produced by this company come from free-range sheep. They have chosen to keep many of their wools and alpaca fibres simply washed without using chemicals before being dyed, which helps to retain their beautiful natural texture as well as reducing environmental impact.
