Granny Squares ~ the building block of so many crochet patterns…..
This class is for those who have had no experience of crochet before or anyone who wants to learn how to make this vintage classic.
To get you started here is a little video showing you how to begin holding your hook and looking at how to create your tension thread for starting to crochet.
Before starting your Granny square, begin by making a simple chain. This is a great way to of getting a feel of holding and using your hook as well as practicing trying to make even stitches (chains) with your tension thread.
In this class you will learn;
- how to hold the hook.
- make a foundation chain.
- slip stitch
- Treble crochet (Tr)
- how to join new colours on each round.
- to read a pattern and simple crochet chart.
You do not need to bring anything. You will be given a mini kit to take home with yarns, hook and printed Beginner Pattern Pack.
Cost of Class: £30
