It’s such a delight knitting for a baby, especially as a gift. I have just made these little Mary Janes for a friend’s baby girl. I used Rowan Cotton Glace, a 100% mercerised cotton with size 2.75 knitting needles.

I think they are so sweet. Even if they are only worn occasionally they can be kept as a keepsake for a newborn baby.
