If you can already make a Granny Square, then you are ready to make Meg’s Basket.
This gorgeous chunky cotton basket is made up of five identical Granny Squares, joined together to make the front, back & sides. The base is then added before completing the top section and handles.
Once you have booked, I will send you a full PDF pattern with all the details for making your 5 Granny Squares in your own time at home, ready for the CONSTRUCTION WORKSHOP.
The pattern includes links to my video tutorials ‘showing you how’ and covering some techniques you may not have tried before including,
- Magic Ring for beginning your Granny Squares.
- Attaching yarn using standing tr st and standing dc st.
- Using invisible join to fasten off at the end of round.
- Darning in ends for a neat, professional finish.
- Blocking your squares to set the size.

Meg’s Basket is made using 5 balls of DMC Natura XL cotton yarn and a size 6mm hook. There are lots of gorgeous colours to choose from, so have fun putting together your own colour combinations.
NB For this project, I am not providing kits. You will need to purchase your own yarn and hook in order to be able to make the Granny Squares in advance.

CONSTRUCTION WORKSHOP
With your 5 completed Granny squares, you will be ready to construct Meg’s Basket. In the workshop we will be working on the seams for joining the sides together and preparing the base square.
NB You may choose to line your base square with fabric for extra stability (optional). I have large selection of fabrics in different colours which I am very happy for you to use.

We will then be working on crocheting the top section and adding the handles to complete.

If the class is showing fully booked please email me so I can add you to the waiting list and let you know when the next class will be taking place.
